Discussion Forum

Forum rules:

• Only one account per person is permitted on the forum.*


• When registering, a valid email address has to be used. Disposable email addresses are not permitted and if they are used, the account will be deleted.


• The Spoof forums are for people. Company names and domain names etc. in forum/login names are not allowed and may be changed. Similarly, multiple people must not share a single account to post to the forum.


• Do not pretend to be/represent somebody else.


• All posts should be in English, unless it makes sense for them not to be. Posts in foreign languages, made for no good reason, will be removed.


• Do not discuss illegal activities.


• Do not link to any site, or upload any content, that contains "adult" content, sexually explicit material or which might otherwise be considered offensive or illegal. Any post containing an inappropriate link will be deleted.


• You may edit your posts to correct errors. You must not make edits to your posts to dramatically change your post in order to manipulate the flow of a thread, or to remove the post entirely - for whatever reason. You can request for a post which you have made to be deleted, or have a thread which you began to be locked, but only with good reason.


• Post your comment/question to the most appropriate place. Any posts deemed to be in the wrong forum will be moved.


• Make sure you read a thread completely before posting a reply. (Especially if you're going to reply to the acronym thread!)


• Use your own words. If you wish to use the words of somebody else, quote them, citing the source.


• Choose an appropriate subject line. Do not use all caps in subjects or posts. Do not use a URL as a thread title.


• No Flaming, Trolling or Spamming.


• Thank those who help you.

At all times:

• Keep all commentary civil, and be courteous. Constructive criticism is welcome, but insults are not. Remember to always give new members a warm welcome, and new members, remember to give long-standing Spoofers the respect they deserve.


• This is not the place to settle a disagreement. Any posts deemed to be of this nature will locked and may be removed. Settle your disputes in private please.


• Keep all posts on-topic.


• No commercial advertising is permitted. Any posts deemed to be self promotion, advertising, or spam can and will be removed. For advertsing on The Spoof contact advertising@thespoof.com. Posting and making excessive, inappropriate and unnecessary references to your products and websites is self promotion.

If you see a post which you feel violates any of these rules, and you need to bring it to the attention of a moderator, please use the private messaging system.

Failure to abide by these rules may result in the: editing or deletion of your post; locking or removal of a thread; or suspension or exclusion from The Spoof.

These rules are in addition to and are intended to work alongside the standard terms and conditions of The Spoof website and may be updated at any time.

* Exceptions to this rule can be made for writers who wish to write under pseudonyms, but only Mark's express permission. Pseudonyms will be marked with an AKA (Also Known As) in the account profile indicating who the actual writer is. Anyone found to be holding more than one account without permission will have their secondary accounts suspended immediately.
