The Government is setting up a hotline for comments by the travelling public on the award of bonuses to Network Rail senior staff. This follows the Government finding that they cannot do anything about the bonuses being paid.
Justine Greening, Transport Minister, explained that 'All I can do is put my vote against the bonuses. After all it's a democratic society, one person one vote. There are other people voting and it is a majority decision.' The Committee deciding the issue is not subject to Government authority because they would be angry if they were told what to do.
Those wishing to vote on the issue can contact Railbonusswindle.web with their views which will be taken into account when the bonuses are approved.
Bank executive Basil Fortune complained that he travels by rail and finds the fares are eating up his bonus. 'It's not fair' he complained 'anybody would think these Rail Network bosses were running the economy - they can't even run the trains.'
Any rebels against train executives getting bonuses are being referred to President Asad of Syria, with copies to the rulers of Russia and China.
