image for Bush And Blair Celebrate Tutu Recommendation
"Did we fool 'em, or what?"

The world learned today that Archbishop Desmond Tutu has called for George W. Bush and Tony Blair to appear in the dock at the ICC (International Criminal Court).

Earlier this year the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal in Malaysia found Bush and Cheney guilty of war crimes in hopes of persuading the ICC to take action.

Bush and Blair immediately went on Skype, according to their spokespersons, to celebrate the attention. "Gosh, it's been so long," Mr. Bush is reported to have murmured. "I mean I was beginning to wonder if anybody remembered me."

"And I mean as though lying really has any relevance, especially in today's politics," Mr. Blair is reported to have rejoined. "We absolutely needed to get on with our Massive Deception on a Weapons program-uhhrr, I mean the Weapons of Mass Destruction program-in Iraq."

"It was enthusiasm, Tony. That's all. We were too enthusiastic! Is that criminal?"

The spokespersons cautiously revealed that Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair are planning a re-union at a location not likely to draw shoes and tomatoes winging through the air and into their faces. Lifting a glass and taking a look at melting ice in the arctic circle somewhere has been recommended.
